Punj Lloyd Squash Masters

Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, it is our pleasure and our privilege to present to you the Punj Lloyd Squash Masters 2010!!

Having made a grand beginning last year with the organization of the PSA Masters in Mumbai, this year, it is the intent of the Punj Lloyd Group to bring the greatest ever squash extravaganza to have been organized in this country, in the form of the ‘Punj Lloyd Squash Masters 2010’ to New Delhi. The Punj Lloyd Squash Masters 2010 will comprise of two internationally prestigious events that will be conducted simultaneously at the newly constructed, and may we add gorgeous, squash courts at the Siri Fort Sports Complex in New Delhi as well as 11 promotional events targeted at various squash playing communities, which will be played across the length and breadth of the country.

Punj Lloyd Squash Masters

Punj Lloyd PSA Masters, 2010

The first of the two international events is the Punj Lloyd PSA Masters, 2010, which will see the top 32 male players in the world take on each other in an unforgiving battle to be crowned the king of squash. With our very own Saurav Ghosal also vying for the title, the Punj Lloyd PSA Masters, 2010 promises to be an exciting advertisement for the game of squash in the country!

Punj Lloyd WISPA Masters, 2010

The second international event is the Punj Lloyd WISPA Masters, 2010 which will feature the top available 16 women players in the world competing against each other in an unforgiving battle of attrition. With our very own Dipika Pallikal and Joshna Chinappa promising to grace the squash courts at New Delhi, the Punj Lloyd WISPA Masters, 2010 will give women’s squash in India even more publicity and glamour!

Promotional Tournaments

The eleven promotional tournaments that will build up to the two international events will be played between the months of August and November and will add even more sheen to the munificence of the two international events in December. Structured to ensure the holistic development of squash by complimenting the top down approach of the Punj Lloyd PSA Masters, 2010 and the Punj Lloyd WISPA Masters, 2010 with a bottom up approach, the build up tournaments will be organized in association with the Squash Rackets Federation of India and will comprise of:

  • The Punj Lloyd All India Inter School Championships to be played across four zones (North, South, East and West) at the National Capital Region of Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata and Chennai;
  • The Punj Lloyd All India Inter University/College Championships to be played across four zones (North, South, East and West) at the National Capital Region of Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata and Chennai;
  • The Punj Lloyd Defense Services Challenge designed for the best from the Army, the Navy, the Air Force, the IMA, the NDA, the INA and the IAA, tentatively scheduled to be played at the picturesque Defence Services Officers Institute in New Delhi; and
  • The Punj Lloyd Merchants Cup, designed to test the mettle of desk lounging czars in both the National Capital Region of Delhi and in Mumbai.
